Spot is a new benefit that you can purchase Spot with your daily lift ticket or season pass. Spot covers you up to $20,000 each time you’re injured. Your plan works whether you have health insurance or not and with any existing insurance plans you may have. You can rest assured knowing Spot has your back at Mountain High.
If you’re shredding on the slopes and have an accident, focus on your injury first and get the treatment you need. Go to any licensed medical professional, hospital, ER, or urgent care clinic that is convenient to you. Whatever your physician recommends as treatment should be covered, whether that’s diagnostic tests, scans, surgery, specialist visits, prescriptions, procedures, hospital stays, ambulance or air ambulance rides, physical therapy, and more.
Filing a claim with Spot is simple, really. It’s just a matter of taking pictures of your bill(s), explaining how you got injured, and providing a few other details. Once you file a claim, you will be given a personal claims representative who will work with you to determine the best plan for your medical and financial situation.
Coverage is for season pass purchasers while at Mountain High Resort.

Congratulations! You're covered. Check your email for a confirmation from Spot and for details on how to log into your Spot account.
Spot covers costs from your doctor-recommended treatment plan up to $20,000 for any covered physical injury as long as its carried out by a licensed physician. Your treatment plan could include diagnostic scans, hospital stays, ER visits, surgeries, and emergency transportation. Basically, anything your licensed physician recommends that you need to recover from your accident. Unfortunately, your spiritual healer’s plan is on you.
No, Spot is not health insurance. Spot provides coverage for reimbursement of medical bills incurred for injuries stemming from accidents. As much as we’d like to help you with your stomach flu (drink plenty of fluids!), that's just not our thing. General illness, pre-existing conditions, and chronic sickness are not included in your policy coverage. When you go to the doctor for treatment, use your health insurance (if you have it) and settle your bill. Then, file a claim with Spot by providing us with pertinent information (like documentation from the doctor) and we’ll get to work on reimbursing you.
Each accident you have is eligible for reimbursement up to $20,000. This means if you need stitches and an MRI after a tumble off the chair lift one day, you’re covered for up to $20,000 for that. If you eat it on moguls and blow out your knee, you’re covered for up to $20,000 for that as well. We really hope that never happens to you but we’ve got your back regardless, even if it’s broken.
We got your back for the duration of your season pass or lift ticket while you are on the Mountain High resort property.
Once you get your first bill, you can begin the claims process by logging into your account so we can verify your policy information. If you don’t have an account yet, click here to create one (if someone purchased your season pass or lift ticket on your behalf, email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance). Answer a few questions about the accident, like where and when it happened. Be as thorough and detailed as possible. The less information the claims team has to hunt down, the quicker you will be able to move through. Once you submit the claim, you will be assigned a personal claims representative. Think of them as your partner through this to determine the best path forward for your medical and financial situation.
